aka Horner's Addition
Noe Valley takes its name from Jose de Jesus Noe, who was a two-time mayor and rancher living in California before Mexico declared its independence from Spain. This land was developed into residential housing by John Meirs Horner many years later and the area was originally known as Horner's Addition.
